Family Ring
3D printing project
About: This was a class project at RISD's 3D printing class.
What I Did: I thought of creating a family text ring, with my own font design. The ring has all of my family's nick names spelled out in 1 stroke, "Steve, Tiff, Richie and Tessie". I've turned the stroke to a 3D object and the ring was 3D printed in 3 different metal colors.

The Design process
Version #1
There were a total of 3 versions. In version #1, my children's first letters of their first names are on a ball/or an egg. The egg was cracked in half with each of their initials on them.
Version #2
In version #2, my family's first letters of the first names: S,T,R & T.
Version #3
In version #3, I created my own font design. The ring has all of my family's nicknames spelled out in 1 stroke, "Steve, Tiff, Richie and Tessie". I've turned the stroke into a 3D object and the ring was 3D printed in 3 different metal colors.
